Privacy Policy

1. Information We Process

We do not collect or store your personal or financial information on our servers. All information you enter is kept local and within your control:

• No User Accounts: Gratis does not have a registration or login system. We do not collect names, passwords, email addresses, or other profile details on our infrastructure.
• Financial Entries: All bills, income items, payment status, budgets, and category preferences you enter are processed locally on your device.
• OCR & Scanned Receipts: Receipts processed via the app's scanner use local on-device OCR (Optical Character Recognition). The images and extracted text are saved strictly in your local device application sandbox.
• Device & Usage Data: We may process anonymous crash logs and diagnostics locally to improve App stability and fix bugs.

2. Personal Cloud Storage & Sync

If you decide to enable synchronization or back up your data, you sync directly to your own personal accounts:

• Google Drive & iCloud Backups: The App syncs directly with your personal Google Drive or iCloud account. Your backup files (including receipt databases) are stored in a private directory inside your own cloud space.
• Direct Client Connection: All authentication and file operations happen directly between the App on your device and your personal cloud provider. Belynx Labs has no access to your cloud accounts, login credentials, or backup files.

3. Data Storage and Security

• On-Device Storage: All budget data is saved in your device's local application sandbox directory.
• Encryption: Cloud backups use the standard encryption methods provided natively by Google Drive or Apple iCloud.
• Biometric Access: Optional biometric lock features (Touch ID / Face ID / Fingerprint lock) use native device security APIs. Biometric data is never accessed or stored by the App.

4. Data Sharing

Because Gratis operates local-first, Belynx Labs does not collect or transmit your financial data. We do not share your data with advertisers, third-party brokers, or intermediate service providers.

5. Your Rights and Data Control

You maintain full ownership and control of your data:

• Right to Delete: You can wipe all data by uninstalling the App from your device. If Google Drive or iCloud sync is enabled, you can disconnect the App or delete the backup files (such as `gratis_state.json` or `axis_state.json`) from your cloud drive account. Because we do not store your data on our servers, we have no capability to recover or restore your deleted data.
• Right to Access: You can view all data stored in the App simply by opening it on your device or exporting your transactions.

6. Children's Privacy

Gratis is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
